Who the laboratory is
A2LA, the accreditation body, lists the laboratory as Olympic Analytical, LLC, doing business as Vanguard Laboratory. Its site gives a street address in Olympia, Washington, and a telephone number, and names its laboratory director, who it says is recognised by the Association of Food and Drug Officials as a process authority for acidified and low-acid foods. The homepage lists peptides and research chemicals alongside supplements, food and beverages, water, topicals and brewing, and the service menu runs from mycotoxin and pesticide screening to soil and terpene analysis.
Peptides are one line of business among many, but a prominent one: the peptide page says the laboratory tests more than 100 research peptides, including semaglutide, tirzepatide, BPC-157 and TB-500, and addresses three kinds of customer — individual researchers, clinic owners, and peptide vendors and manufacturers.
What it charges, as captured in May and June 2026
Peptide testing was sold in three packages, set out in the table below. Each sample is sent in with a completed form and the number of vials the test needs, and the certificate is reviewed, the site says, by PhD chemists. Individual tests could also be bought on their own or added:
- Endotoxin by the USP <85> method, three to five days.
- Heavy metals — arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury and lead — by ICP-MS, three to five days.
- Microbial enumeration (USP <61>) or sterility (USP <71>), the latter recommended for freeze-dried products and taking at least 15 days.
- A conformity check for an extra $100, and testing of a reconstitution solution at $200 per vial.

The accreditation claim, checked against the register
The site describes the laboratory as ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited through A2LA and says that "every test is backed by" that accreditation. The peptide page adds that its HPLC methods are "validated to USP standards".
A2LA's register, which we read on 8 October 2026 while reviewing a store that uses this laboratory, holds certificate 6377.01 for Olympic Analytical, LLC, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and valid to 30 September 2027. The scope document published with it, dated 22 December 2025, lists microbiology, gluten, preservative, trace-element and residual-solvent tests. It does not list peptide purity or identity by HPLC — the test behind almost every peptide certificate this laboratory issues.
Both things are true at once: the laboratory is accredited, and the peptide purity result is not an accredited test. For a buyer, the practical reading is that an accreditation logo on a peptide certificate tells you about the laboratory's quality system, not that this particular measurement was assessed by the accreditor. The site also says the laboratory is accredited by Washington's Department of Ecology and registered with the Department of Health for controlled substances; we did not check those.
One certificate, as a client publishes it
Our Core Peptides review read a Vanguard certificate on 8 October 2026: BPC-157 5 mg, lot C74112, reported on 22 July 2026. It reports two results by HPLC-UV/VIS — identity, recorded as matching the reference standard, and purity above 99.80% — and names the director who reported it and the manager who approved it. It reports no measured peptide content and no endotoxin or sterility result, which matches the cheapest package rather than the fuller ones. The certificate refers readers to A2LA certificate 6377.01 for the list of accredited tests; that list is the one described above.
The laboratory also offers a "Verified by Vanguard" certification "for qualifying products after testing", and its peptide page offers to connect clinics and researchers with vendors. A laboratory that tests a vendor's product and also issues that vendor a marketing mark is in two roles at once; a buyer should weigh the certificate's numbers, not the mark.
